Our Commercial Property Associate Director, Craig Smith, will shortly take part in a 50 mile ‘Bridge to Bridge’ walk, in aid of local charity, Fife Young Carers.
The fourth annual charity walk will take place on Saturday 23rd June. Setting off at sunrise from the Forth Rail Bridge in North Queensferry, the route meanders through the former mining towns of West Fife, around the majestic twin beacons of the Lomond hills and over the rolling agricultural landscape of North East Fife, before arriving at the Tay Rail Bridge around midnight. It’s Fife, but as rarely experienced before.
Fife Young Carers support children and young people aged between 8-18 years who are looking after an ill or disabled relative. Young Carers look after parents, grandparents or siblings who are ill or have a disability which affects the whole family. Young Carers may cook, clean, give medicines and many of the things parents normally do and sometimes they miss out on school and going out with friends as a result. They take on the roles and responsibilities of adults and miss out on many childhood experiences which others take for granted.
